Month of June!
Wow, what a good month June has been! We have done heaps of prep for our Masquerade Ball and spent the day getting all dressed up and dancing and hanging out with all my friends at Arohanui, which was so much fun.
In Lifeskills, we have been learning about communication when I'm feeling overwhelmed. We've also had lots of fun dancing with Donna, which is always my favourite.
We have been down at the Welcome Bay Community Centre helping out, and it was also Volunteer Appreciation Week. They gave me some chocolates and a cowboy hat to say thank you, which was really special.
I'm back at the gym working on my shoulder and lat strength so I can work towards my pull-up goal.
I also had my moment in the café this month for Meet the Maker, where my friends from the Welcome Bay Community Centre came and watched me sing Put Your Head on My Shoulder and dance.
I went and spent some time at the Te Puke Centre, where we had a game of basketball and pétanque.
I also enjoyed going back to the Welcome Bay Community Centre and seeing they had planted fresh vegetables in the garden plots we have been tidying up. We made sure to pull the weeds out and not the vegetables!
